Did you miss the SharePoint Conference in Las Vegas last week? Here are some of the highlights...
One of the announcements that Microsoft outlined in this year's SharePoint Conference was for OneDrive being able to add AutoCAD drawing files and previews of 360-degree images. Another interesting addition is a sync support capability for Windows Virtual Desktop this is Microsoft's new virtual desktop infrastructure service that's currently in a preview stage.
How do we work on a document or say a diagram from Visio with the group or team?
Microsoft Teams allows you to upload a document into a Teams channel and collaborate on the document in real time. Shown below is a Visio file uploaded to a channel and a conversation talking about the diagram.
What is one of the most long overdue requests as it relates to SharePoint Online or SharePoint Server? Being able to rename site addresses would be the answer.
The owner of the site has been able to change a lot of properties on their sites over the years but changing site URLs has not been enabled. Since the modern SharePoint admin center came out, you can now change the site name. but you still can’t change the tenant’s domain name of course just the site name portion.
Ever have a situation where you need to be logged into more than one Office 365 tenant at the same time? Microsoft doesn't make it easy to connect to more than one at a time. Consultants working on multiple tenants experience this issue often.
Want to add more than one user at a time to Office 365?
Microsoft supplies a built-in template to help add multi users at one time. As long as the headers and content are filled in correctly its an easy process.
So of the assumptions would be you have an Office 365 Tenant.
You have Admin access to the Admin Portal.
And you have already purchased licensing or have available licenses for the users being added.

Have you ever wondered how Admins of SharePoint create modern site collections or Classic sites? Don`t let them fool you it really takes minutes to spin one up. Its the maintaining and administrating it that takes the effort. Here is a sneak preview of how they do it. Now it is true that users may create sites them selves, but they do not have all the features available that admins do.
By using the new SharePoint admin center, you can create sites that use one of the new team site or communication site templates.
One of the new features rolling out as we speak is the ability to restore Document libraries in SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams. This is something that is available in OneDrive and might look very similar as it rolls out for SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams during the months of April and May.
Microsoft announced this past week that they are now providing voicemail capabilities for all VoIP-enabled users in Microsoft Teams. VoIP-enabled users will now be able to receive and hear voicemails in the Teams desktop and web clients. This feature is on-by-default and requires administrator action to disable.
Also if transcription is enabled for your tenant via Voicemail Policy, your users can also see voicemail transcriptions in their desktop clients, web clients, and in outlook clients.
