What's New in SharePoint Server 2013

SharePoint Server 2013 business intelligence applications and tools let you organize your vision of organizational goals, processes, and performance requirements. Create powerful data mash-ups using PowerPivot, with the ability to process billions of rows, create data models and facilitate sharing and collaboration with Excel Services. Power View provides intuitive ad-hoc reporting. With Performance Point Services and Dashboard Designer, along with Visio Services, create sophisticated dashboards capable of integrating reports and metrics from multiple data sources that are customizable for your audience. Technet has some great information about BI and what's new in BI located here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj542395(v=office.15) Excel has grown in 2013 with more capabilities such as Power View and the In-Memory BI Engine (IMBI) which allows for almost instant analysis of millions of rows and is a fully integrated feature in the Excel client. This is very powerful stuff. Performance Point hasn't changed too much from SharePoint 2010 to 2013, but we do like the fact that Performance Point dashboards can now be viewed and interacted with on iPad devices using the Safari web browser. Alot of clients even though they have PC's also tend to use iPads from home or on the road.
