Project Server 2013 Online Settings

With Project Server 2013 operating in 2 security modes a few things have changed as far as what is available in the Online PWA Server Settings. By default SharePoint mode is selected and to get to the Project Server mode you need to go to the settings page for PWA under the SharePoint admin center.

So  lets look at what is available in the Project Server security mode.

Now lets look at the SharePoint mode and noticed what disappears

First thing you notice is the Security section is gone. This is because security is controlled much like you are use to in SharePoint today. The Project Site Settings are gone and no longer can you administer project sites from being created. You can only delete or deactivate them from Connected SharePoint Sites. Project Server 2013 on premise still as these setting so its only Online that it has been taken away from.

Another thing to keep in mind is that with Project Online in Office 365 there is not a place for users to go for Central administration. So its a little bit different depending what security mode your using and which version of the tool you are working from.
