Project Server 2013 Access

This post on TechNet I found very helpful at a high level http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/fp161361.aspx .

If you are doing Project Server 2013 on premise or using Microsoft Project Online with Office 365 you will find the same 2 modes.

One thing to note is that with Project Server 2013 we have found clients like more details in the security around Project Server.

What I mean by this is after the client understands the capabilities of Project Server they tend to want to pull back on certain items.

So as an example they might not want Project Managers creating custom fields or business drivers for the environment or even creating projects.

Its extremely important not to create Project Server security in Project Server mode with groups and categories and then switch to SharePoint mode as you will lose all the Project Server settings.

Let us know if we can help with your Project Server 2013 needs......
